'these days 1 & 2 things'

good night, and good luck.

Pure joy is a serious matter.

how high the moon?

Somewhere theres music
How faint the tune
Somewhere theres heaven
How high the moon
There is no moon above
When love is far away too
Till it comes true
That you love me as I love you

Somewhere theres music
How near, how far
Somewhere theres heaven
Its where you are
The darkest night would shine
If you would come to me soon
Until you will, how still my heart
How high the moon

Somewhere theres music
How faint the tune
Somewhere theres heaven
How high the moon
The darkest night would shine
If you would come to me soon
Until you will, how still my heart
How high the moon

--"How High The Moon"

every time i heard of this song sang by ella, i feel jealous of those people with their beloved share full moon with their fingers wrap around. today is a chinese traditional festival, mid-autumn day, yet a foreigner will interpret it as the worship to moon ascend to the acient time of china, how ever, the moon is only the palace in the tale where a sad story took place, the fairy chang'e was apart with her lover wugang who was just a common people. so the moon is only the meaning of gathering with beloved people, not a concret incarnation of a holy god in chinese culture.
i've just come back from my friends' invitation for a dinner. it's cloudy tonight and can't see any moon at all, as an old saying of chinese, "cheers when the cup held high with the moon in eyes"(i try to translate it more lyrically, how ever...beg your pardon), we drank and have a wonderful evening, outside the dark sky is just begin to drizzle in silence.
i adore the different faces of the moon :)
