it's awesome!

i saw this in nyng's blog, really made my day!!wah-hah-hah:)

Syphilis(Yesterday)

Syphilis
It just started with a simple kiss
Now it even hurts to take a piss
Oh how did I get syphilis.

Leprosy
I’m not half the man I used to be
Now my fingertips are leaving me
Oh I believe I’ve leprosy.

Why her box was sick
I don’t know, she would not say
Now my dripping dick won’t be hard like
Yesterday..ay..ay..ay
Yesterday
My cock was always coming out to play
Now it needs two weeks to hide away
Oh I believe in yesterday,
I believe in yesterday.

chicago,chicago

Diahann Carroll, funny musical can anyone tell me where does this scene come from? however diahann's voice is lack of anything worthwhile to say, i don't think she is a gifted singer. i love this song because the lyrics is lively, the first time i listened to this song in a record it was sang by an anonymous japanese jazz vocalist in a 30's recorded compilation. it's a interesting and amazing thing to hear that the japanese femal singer articulated a very nice english voice!

Chicago

Chicago, Chicago
That toddlin' town
Chicago, Chicago
I'll show you around, I love it
Bet your bottom dollar
You'll lose the blues
In Chicago, Chicago
The town that Billy Sunday
Could not shut down
On State Street, that great street
I just wanna say
They do thing's
They don't do on Broadway, say
They have the time
The time or their life
I saw a man
He danced with his wife
In Chicago, my home town
Chicago, Chicago
That toddlin' town
Chicago, Chicago
I'll show you around, I love it
Bet your bottom dollar
You'll lose the blues
In Chicago, Chicago
The town that Billy Sunday
Could not shut down
On State Street, that great street
I just wanna say
They do thing's
They don't do on Broadway, say
They have the time
The time or their life
I saw a man
He danced with his wife
In Chicago
Chicago, my home home town

blossom dearie !

最早聽過她的聲音是在“between the devil and the deep blue sea”,當時覺得非常的girlish!

carol sloane !

the jitterbug dance,delete scene

(excerpt from youtube)

this is "behind the camera" footage of the Jitterbug scene that went lost after being cut from the film.

download clip:
http://www.mulholland-drive.net/clips/jitterbug.wmv

The film originally contained an elaborate production number called "The Jitter Bug", which cost $80,000 and took five weeks to shoot, only to be cut after the first preview. In the scene, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly lion, and the Tin Woodsman are on their way to the Witch's castle when they are attacked by "jitter bugs" - furry pink and blue mosquito-like "rascals" that give one "the jitters" as they buzz about in the air. When, after its preview, the movie was judged too long, MGM officials decided to sacrifice the "Jitter Bug" scene. The reasoned that it added little to the plot and, because a dance by the same name had just become popular, they feared it might date the picture.
The Witch still refers to the bug in the final film, just before telling the Monkeys to "Fly!" Only home movies of the filming of "The Jitterbug" survive, though the song is on current versions of both the soundtrack CD and the recent anniversary edition videotape. The sequence was also incorporated into a recent stage version of the musical.

If you want to know how Dorothy thwarted the Wicked Witch's 'dancing with the stars'-style plot, you can read the script for the scene here

friend of mine

a friend from childhood, fat & smart guy of physics department of peking university, is about to go to CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research) for one year research. university education in china mainland is being scolding for the cultivation of only work skills by more and more people. since the pressure of unemployment has been the most threat that even the freshman had when they spent their first year in campus, it isn't hard to forsee the trend and, the teacher, i mean the professors can't be absence for this circumstance. there is few department or college, especially of science and technology now doing 'real' researches, that do nothing of what the current commercial sociaty is fascinated about, or is not part of a commercial contract. professors who do not let his student work for his bussiness as an employee(low paid or even for zero!) is because he teach chinese literature or something like that(yet some famous ones teach outside campus to earn money).
so when my friend told me that he is still doing research, i almost envy him. "how about going to work?" once i asked him, "matter of time you know, everyone is got to work, now i have not planned for it yet, all i am thinking about is for my presentation of my recent paper, maybe i have to celebrate a spring fest abroad alone without my family. "

familiar sport shoes and the uprightness gesture ...
